Food For The Mind........
All About Foods is fueled by my lifelong passion for great food. I am an experienced home cook and have also cooked professionally in restaurants in the United States and abroad. While my roots are deeply Southern, extensive periods of study abroad in Africa and in Europe have greatly shaped my culinary vision with global influences. My culinary style reflects a balance between popular consumer trends and timeless culinary classics. I also emphasize the importance of seasonality and supporting local growers and food producers.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Spelman College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of London. I received formal culinary training at the New England Culinary Institute. Prior to founding All About Foods, I was the Culinary Researcher and Coordinator for the Food Network show, Good Eats, and later worked as Assistant Foods Editor at Southern Living Magazine.
